4.000 nautical miles racing single-handed across the Atlantic Ocean on a 6.50m high-performance vessel

An incubator for professional single-handed ocean racers. Race completion is seen as a personal and national victory

The Mini Transat is described as “mad” as the individual isolation causes predictable problems in combination with the hazard of solo ocean travel in small high-performance sailing vessels.

Years of preparation, finding ways to fund the project, physical and mental training, weather routing, etc.

In order to qualify racers have to complete a single-handed passage of 1.000nm together with 1.500nm of Classe Mini Events.
